Current Benefits as of 2005

$2,500 Accidental Death benefit is paid when a member dies from accidental bodily injury, or exposure or loss of life due to adverse weather conditions, or disappearance for 365 days after the date of an accident.

$2,500 Line of Duty benefit is paid in addition to the Accidental Death benefit when an active at work member is killed in the line of duty.

Expanded Accident Benefits are paid when a member is involved in an accident that directly result in one of the following losses:

• Loss of hands or feet                $2,500            Reattachment of hand or foot                $1,250
• Loss of hand or foot                 $1,250            Loss of Speech                                     $1,250
• Loss of Thumb or Index            $625               Loss of Hearing (both ears)                  $1,25

Finger of Same Hand                                     Quadriplegia                                         $2,500

• Loss of sight, both eyes            $2,500             Paraplegia                                            $1,250
